Mrs. Myleen
Mrs. Myleen began to dance at age 3 at the family dance studio where both her parents were instructors.
Myleen has spent the past 18 years teaching Tap, Jazz, and Ballet to students from preschool age through adult. Mrs. Myleen’s true dance love is Tap which she attributes to her father who passed down grace and style through strong tap basics. Her style, which is modeled after traditional tappers such as Fred Astaire, Donald O’Connor, Gene Kelly and Ginger Rogers, has caught the attention of many people. She has attended several masterclass sessions with instructors such as Anthony LoCascio and Frank Hatchett. She has choreographed numerous tap routines that have been performed at various competitions and is proud to have assisted her students in being recognized as top performers at Broadway Bound International and Starbound National Talent Competition. Bring your water bottle; Mrs. Myleen’s non-stop teaching style drills the basics, challenging each student to achieve their true potential. She hopes you leave each class feeling like you really learned something while developing “Happy Feet” and a new love and appreciation for tap.
